How we're responding to COVID-19
Empowering Young People Into Employment.
Social Engine’s mission is to build life skills and provide work experience that enables ‘at risk’ young people to secure real jobs. Our primary purpose is to change lives through getting young people into work that matters, but we’re also committed to building awareness of issues surrounding youth unemployment. Our mission is to create a financially viable and sustainable social enterprise that facilitates the ongoing creation of job opportunities for those who need them. Any profits are reinvested in the enterprise to create more jobs for ‘at risk’ youth.

We exist to change the lives of many by getting young people into employment but also make a commitment to build awareness of the issues surrounding youth unemployment and create a financially viable and sustainable social enterprise. All profits are reinvested to drive even greater positive impact in the community..
As a unique and multi-faceted social enterprise, the focus is on ‘at-risk’ youth aged between 16 – 25 and offering diverse employment opportunities.
Logistics & Warehousing
Our logistics business is operated from within a 6500 sqm ISO9001 accredited warehouse in Dandenong South. We specialize in small/medium pick, pack, assembly, kitting, disassembly and reverse logistics contracts that the larger 3PL service providers avoid.
This hands on work is ideal to build transferrable skills that our participants can utilize in the open employment market.
In conjunction with our supply partners, we offer a comprehensive range of Australia Standard approved work wear, personal protective equipment (PPE) and food and beverage vending machines to building and construction sites.
These social procurement contracts underpin our social enterprise operations and enable our industry customers to share in the social impact of creating real jobs for youth at-risk.
Hospitality & Catering
We operate a cafe at Docklands library, a kiosk at the Metro Tunnel North Melbourne worksite and offer corporate catering for businesses in central Melbourne. These operations allow us to focus on providing training in hospitality and retail for our participants that allow them to build the skills, experience and confidence to win jobs in Melbourne’s vibrant cafe sector.
